Let’s dive in!
Our Paint Club meets every other Monday and welcomes all kinds of artists, whether you love painting models, like Warhammer miniatures, or enjoy expressing yourself through acrylics and watercolors.
It’s the perfect place to get creative with fellow community members and hobbyists in a bilingual environment.
Bring along your current project or start a new one with us! We even have materials and miniatures on hand for first-timers to try out for free!

Looking to get outside and enjoy some fresh air? Join us for a relaxed community walk along the beautiful Rivière aux Sables.
We’ll meet at the parking lot of Rivière aux Sables at 10AM before setting off on a scenic stroll. Whether you’re bringing a stroller, your dog, or just yourself, everyone is welcome.
⏰ Please note: we’ll begin walking 5 minutes after the scheduled start time, so try to arrive promptly.
It’s a great chance to connect with others, stretch your legs, and enjoy the outdoors—hope to see you there!

Do you have gently used items, handmade goods, or forgotten treasures to part with? Take part in our first Community Garage Sale on Friday, June 28 at the ECO-02 Community Centre!
This event is a great opportunity to declutter, connect with others in the community, and discover unique finds in a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

Join us for a morning of garden clean-up at Maison des familles à La Baie and learn how you can get involved in the community garden this summer.
Bring the kids, roll up your sleeves, and help us get the garden ready for a great season!

Looking for a unique way to spend quality time with your child? Join us on Saturday, June 7, for a free hands-on activity at Cristal du Lac in Jonquière.
This interactive experience invites fathers and children to sift through sand in search of precious minerals—a fun and educational adventure to enjoy together in a natural setting.

Our Youth Drop-In Hours continue every other Friday at the ECO-02 Community Centre.
These evenings are open to both secondary and post-secondary students (aged 13–19), offering a welcoming space to unwind, connect with others, or simply enjoy some downtime. Participants have access to a variety of resources and entertainment, including:
Streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video)
Board games and video games (PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch)
Books and manga
Study corner
Complimentary snacks and beverages
In addition to the regular drop-in features, we’ll occasionally host themed events such as movie nights, game nights, and other special activities.

Young literature lovers aged 13–19 are invited to join our new Book Club, starting Friday, June 13.
We’re kicking things off with a book swap! Bring a book you love to discuss and like to share or trade. Need a book? Browse our free community library at the ECO-02 Community Centre for something to bring!
The Book Club will take place in the conference room, while regular Youth Drop-In Hour activities continue in the main community space.

Join us for supportive and informative meetings led by Kim Laliberté, a special care counselor at Association PANDA Saguenay - Lac-St-Jean, designed for anyone navigating the challenges of a potential ADHD diagnosis.
This meeting is designed to support parents of children with a diagnosis or those who suspect their child might have one, helping them navigate the challenges they face.
Participants will engage in discussions about their experiences and receive valuable information to help them explore potential next steps for both themselves and their children.

ECO-02 is pleased to invite you to this month’s Senior Breakfast, featuring a special presentation by the Centre d’assistance et d’accompagnement aux plaintes (CAAP).
Join us on Wednesday, June 18 for a free, welcoming breakfast including breakfast sandwiches and other refreshments. Following the meal, CAAP will lead an informative session on understanding your healthcare rights and how to make a formal complaint, should the need arise.
This is a great opportunity to enjoy a meal, connect with others, and leave feeling empowered with valuable knowledge.

Our Pause Jasette is our weekly online session for French-speakers who want to practice their English.
Sessions are every Thursday and take place from 12–1PM, so even those with a busy schedule can squeeze in some language practice on their lunchbreak!

ECO-02 is here to support, inform, and connect English-speaking individuals and families living in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. Whether you’re new to the area, considering a move, or have been living here for years, our mission is to help you feel at home and connected.
We offer a variety of services, resources, and mostly free activities designed to build community and provide support. From language exchanges and youth drop-ins to workshops, social events, and helpful information sessions, there’s something for everyone.
