ECO-02 comminity members enjoying afternoon tea at the cancer research society fundraiser event

On April 26, 2025, a heartwarming first took place in our community: the inaugural Daffodil Afternoon Tea, hosted at the ECO-02 Community Centre. With tea cups raised and hearts united, our community proudly raised $1,160.00 in support of the Canadian Cancer Society’s vital research initiatives.

A Gathering Fueled by Generosity

This special event marked the first time our community came together to organize a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. From thoughtful online donations to enthusiastic attendance, the outpouring of support was both touching and impactful.

Guests were treated to a lovely afternoon filled with the charm of traditional tea service. Community volunteers thoughtfully prepared a delightful spread of teas, sandwiches, and sweets, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encouraged both reflection and celebration.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Supporters

The organizing committee extends sincere thanks to everyone who donated or attended. Your generosity helps fund crucial research and offers hope to those affected by cancer.

A special thank you also goes to ECO-02 for generously providing the venue and to the local merchants who contributed beautiful prizes for our event draws. These include:
