Ready for a blast from the past? Come and join us for our 2010s Trivia Night with questions about the era when Elsa made her icy debut and we all said farewell to our beloved friend, Vine.
Test your knowledge on questions from 2010 all the way to 2019—pop culture, major events, sports, and more!

Join us for a free Mindfulness Retreat for Parents: Placing Family Roots, where you will:
Explore self-care techniques
Connect with other parents
Discover community resources
This event takes place over 2 Saturdays, September 13 & 27.
At the first workshop, we will focus on you, the parent, and you will learn self-care techniques and tips.
The second workshop will incorporate your child into the activities, so that you can practice and build upon what you learned in the first one.
Free daycare available for children aged 12 months-5 years old.

FAQs
Q. Do I have to attend both workshops?
A. No. If you can only make it to one, there is no problem. However, on the 27th we will be building on techniques and things that happened on the 13th. So while it is beneficial and encouraged to attend both, it is not mandatory.
Q. Do I need to bring my own food?
A. Free lunch will be provided for both you and your children. On the 27th, there will be an activity to prepare lunch with your children, if they are present.

Explore the great outdoors with our volunteer-led Hiking Club! This month, we are trekking the trails of beautiful Bec-Scie.
Hiking will start at 10am, but Simon (Hiking Club leader) will be there to meet participants at the car park from 9:30am—look for the ECO-02 t-shirt!
Please note: Participants will need to pay an entry fee of $6.33+tax to Bec-Scie on arrival (under 18s go free).

Registration is recommended, but not mandatory. However, if you register and are running late, then we’ll know to wait for you.

Unleash your creativity at our bi-weekly Paint Club! Bring along your current project or start a new one here. If you’re new to the hobby, we even have free materials for you to give it a go!
Paint Club is a bilingual gathering, making it a welcoming space for French-speakers and English-speakers to get together and share their love of painting. Perfect if you are looking to practice your second language skills too!

Come get your steps in and connect with fellow community members at our Walking Club!
This month, we’re taking a stroll along the cycle path in Jonquière. Meet us next to the cycle path, next to the car park of Harley Davidson—click to view on Google Maps.

Our Youth Book Club is the perfect space to connect with other book lovers, share your latest reads, and discover new favorites.
This gathering takes place in the conference room during our Youth Drop-In Hours, so participants can enjoy a quieter discussion space while the usual activities continue in the main community area.

Join us for Tumble Bums, our brand-new monthly drop-in playgroup for parents and caregivers with young children!
Connect with other families, enjoy free coffee and snacks, and let your little ones (ages 6 and under) play, explore, and make new friends in a relaxed, welcoming space.
No registration required—just drop in!
Speak & Share is our weekly get-together for both English and French language learners. These bilingual sessions are the perfect opportunity to work on your second language in a welcoming and friendly environment free from judgement.
So if you feel that you aren’t getting enough practice at home, work, or with friends & family, then come along to Speak & Share and connect with other language learners in your community!
There’s also free coffee, tea, drinks, and light snacks available!

ECO-02 is the English Community Organization serving English speakers in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec.
We offer information on local services and host free or low-cost events to connect people and foster community.
While our programs support English speakers first, everyone is welcome! Many of our activities are bilingual and open to all!
