This month, we’re excited to share the return of our events and programs. Whether you’re looking to discover a new hobby in 2026 or improve your French, January offers plenty of ways to start the year in a positive way.

Things To Do This Month in Saguenay
All of our activities in January are free to attend, most of which don’t require advanced booking with the exception of the Bilingual Pyjama Storytime (registration required).

Paint Club is the perfect space for artists of all kinds—whether you're painting miniature figurines, watercolors, acrylics, or anything in between. Come join us and get creative with other artists in your community!
New to the hobby? We have free materials for you to try!
This is a bilingual space. So whether you speak English or French, you're in good company!

Connect with other literature lovers and discuss your latest reads!
You don’t need to read the same book as everyone else. At Book Club, participants are free to read whatever they like, discuss recent favourites, make recommendations, and more—all in a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the Arvida Library.
No registration needed.

Every other Friday, we make our community space available exclusively to our younger community members. Youth Drop-In Hours are the perfect place for youths aged 13-19 to socialize and enjoy ECO-02’s resources, including:
Streaming services
Video games
Board games
Library
Study corner
& more
Occasionally, we host special events, such as movie nights, quiz nights, zootherapy sessions, and more!
Friday, Jan 23, will be Craft Night and we’re making 2026 vision boards!
Supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own inspiration, any additional materials that they would like to use, and an open mind.
No registration required. Just drop by!

Join us for our monthly drop-in playgroup for parents and caregivers with young children!
Connect with other families and let your little ones (ages 6 and under) play and make new friends in a welcoming space.

What is ECO-02?
ECO-02 is the community hub for English speakers living in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, Québec.
We share resources about local services and organize free or affordable activities designed to bring people together and strengthen community ties.
Our programs are created with English speakers in mind, but everyone is invited to take part! Many of our events are bilingual and open to all.
