$1,205 Raised at Afternoon Tea in Support of Heart and Stroke Foundation

The Tea Ladies Strike Again!

On February 28th, 2026, the ECO-02 Community Space was once again filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of freshly prepared tea and treats as community members gathered for a special Afternoon Tea in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Organized by the dedicated Tea Ladies—Darkelle Knox, Lisa DeGuire, Debbie Ford-Caron, Eleanor Perry Morrissette, Ann Dumas, and Mahlee Bouchard—the event brought people together for a meaningful cause in a truly delightful setting.

Admission to the event was by donation, with an initial goal of raising $1,000 but thanks to the incredible generosity of attendees, that goal was not only met but surpassed, with a total of $1,205 raised.

Guests were treated to a beautiful selection of homemade savouries and sandwiches, thoughtfully provided by the Tea Ladies. The spread was as impressive as it was delicious, adding to the charm and success of the afternoon.

Guest were privy to door prizes graciously provided by Maison de Thé La Théière à l’Envers and the event also featured a silent auction with a variety of exciting items, including:

  • A two-night stay for two at Auberge des Falaises in Murray Bay

  • A gift certificate from Gout du Sud

  • A manicure

  • An Easter basket of homemade chocolates by Ann Dumas
