Saguenay Block Party 2025

On Friday, September 26th, ECO-02 and Place aux Jeunes welcomed 85 attendees at Parc Rivière-du-Moulin, Chicoutimi, for the first-ever Saguenay Block Party—also known as La Fête des nouveaux arrivants—in celebration of Saguenay and living in the region.

The event featured several activities, including an interactive quiz on regional and Québécois expressions hosted by Place aux Jeunes, pumpkin decorating, a kids' story time with ECO-02, and a delicious catered meal by Les trois chefs Maître Traiteur.

All participants left with a free goodie bag, and there was a complimentary kids' book station for families to pick up a free English story book to keep and take home with them.

The evening finished off with a prize draw, with several lucky participants walking away with some cool swag and fun prizes!

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to the first Saguenay Block party! We were truly blown away by the number of enthusiastic attendees coming together to celebrate life in the region.

We hope that the Saguenay Block Party can become an annual tradition and look forward to making it bigger and better next year!
